Gainful Loss

gainful-loss

I was a kind of person
who tried to held onto things too tight
unable to loosen the grip
even when I knew it was not right
knowing it would give me blebs
but I thought holding on was worth the pain
I felt it was a piece of me
and if I loose it, I’d lose me
then one day it just happened
I dropped what I once held so precious
And it taught my heart
some things are not meant to be
sometimes the things you fight for
is not worth the cost
And not everything you lose
is meant to be a loss.
